Welcome to Janice Webb Education.
My name is Janice, I am a qualified teacher who specialises in foundation GCSE Maths. I have also experience working at Entry level, Functional Skills level 1 and 2 and general maths.
I have taught at college level GCSE resit 16+ since 2012. I am familiar with the following awarding bodies:
AQA
Edexcel
OCR
The content with all awarding bodies is the same, the structure of the exams is different and the process of learning subject content – GCSE maths whatever awarding body will cover the same subjects required at this level.
I have experience working with students who have different learning needs – SEN, Autism and ADHD. For a number of years, I taught basic number skills and Entry level maths to learners in these categories.
Every person has a different learning style which I love to embrace. You may fear maths in general, you may have had a bad experience previously or you find many topics frustrating and difficult to understand. I want to help and teach you to gain the skills and confidence.
My belief is: ‘if you are comfortable with the basics, you have a good foundation to tackle the harder topics. Each step you take will take you closer to your goal’.
Whatever your needs are, I will tailor the subject delivery to those needs.
